About
In our multi-faith society it is important to try to understand and respect each other’s values, even when we don’t agree or believe something else. The Scottish Government believe that religious and moral education makes an important contribution to the development of our children and young people allowing them to consider, reflect upon, and respond to important questions about the meaning and purpose of existence, the range and depth of human experience and what is ultimately worthwhile and valuable in life.
There are several major religions to explore, however this resource is an introduction to the Christian Faith and has been crafted around Experiences and Outcomes as laid out in the Curriculum for Excellence. All episodes and additional resources are for Second Level (P5 to P7).
In each of these episodes you’ll hear specifically from Christians as they share a little of what the Bible says and explain what they personally believe.
The associated lesson plans and additional content are designed to equip teachers to plan effective lessons that will help the individuals in their class to achieve their Experiences and Outcomes and hit their benchmarks of understanding and exploration.

Well done to all involved, really such a super resource. It is pitched really well at the p5-7s and is super child friendly – the kids loved the part with Zac and Rev Alan especially. I feel that they gained such a great understanding of Christianity, and the best thing was they did so in such a fun manner.
